Ramaprasad Kulkarni

Ramaprasad is currently a Ph.D. student in the Dept. of ECE at The University of Arizona. He received a B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Amrita Institute of Technology and Science (now Amrita School of Engineering), Bangalore, India affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, India in 2007 and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Arizona, in 2010. He was employed at Hewlett Packard India from 2007 - 2009 during which his job included installation and support of servers, storage and software for enterprise customers.

His research interests include image analysis, computer vision, parallel programming and high performance computing. Currently he is involved with image segmentation and analysis of X-ray CT images of porous media images, and parallel programming and high performance computing applied to image analysis algorithms.

Rohit Chacko Philip

Rohit is currently a Ph.D. student in the Dept. of ECE at The University of Arizona. He earned his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Arizona, in 2008 having previously graduated with his B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, India in 2005.

Rohit then worked for the Arizona Cancer Center as an Assistant Research Engineer working on Image Processing techniques to aid cancer research.

His research interests include medical imaging, automated segmentation problems, object detection and tracking, image registration, digital signal processing and communication systems.

Ramya Malladi

Ramya is currently a Ph.D. student in the Dept. of ECE at The University of Arizona. She received her B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawarlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India in 2012.

Her research interests include signal processing, video processing, image segmentation and pattern classification. Her current research involves performance evaluation of image segmentation algorithms.

Artin Majdi
