My philosophy on RESEARCH:
Because my background cuts across physics and engineering disciplines, my research team is an eclectic group of international engineers and scientists. We try to uncover unusual physics effects and learn how to engineer them into useful devices and systems.
First and foremost, our research is meant to be at the forefront of the newest, most interesting developments in electromagnetics.
Consequently, you will find the list of current and past research activities rather diverse.
My philosophy on ACADEMICS:
BS degree time: Learn how to think. It is the time to acquire a skill set – a set of tools that you can take with you the rest of your career.
MS degree time: Learn what others have thought and have done. Sharpen the tools you already have and increase their numbers. Begin the journey to learn how to be an independent, creative engineer and scientist.
Ph. D. degree time: To boldly think and do what no one else has done before. Continue to sharpen the tools you already have and increase their numbers. Become an independent, creative engineer and scientist. Become someone who can compete technically with anyone in the world in your area of expertise, i.e., become an expert.
Post Ph. D. time: Continue to learn. Be actively engaged with your family, your work, and your community. Try to make the world a better place for all.
