Magnetic Storage Simulators (System simulators developed as part of this project)

          HAMR simulator (.zip) [.c]

program for simulating uncoded heat-assisted magnetic recording system including FIR equalizer and Viterbi/BCJR detector). This program is also capable of simulating traditional longitudinal/perpendicular channel.

 

          Ternary MR simulator (.zip) [.c]

program for simulating ternary magnetic recording system. Program details are contained in the file README.txt.

 

Utilities (Small programs or tools commonly used in this project)

          PR distance spectrum [.m]

calculate minimum distance error events for a ternary recording system

 

          MIMO equalization (.zip) [.m]

Matlab routine to calculate GPR targets and FIR equalizers for a 2-input/2-output channel with interference (ternary channel).
