Welcome to Arizona SAE! Arizona SAE is an engineering design team leadership program at the University of Arizona which encompasses both Baja SAE and Formula SAE Collegiate Design Competitions.
The Society of Automotive Engineers hosts three events for each of the design series for collegiate students to design, build, market, and race single-seat off-road and open-wheeled vehicles.
The object of these competitions is to give collegiate students an opportunity to experience the challenges associated with introducing new products to a consumer market.
Universities from around the world compete with one another to have their design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm. Students must function as a team to not only design,
build, test, promote, and race a vehicle within the limits of the rules, but also to generate financial support for their project and manage educational priorities.
