Welcome to the home page of the Optical Communication Systems Lab (OCSL) and the Quantum Communication (QuCom) Lab.

Take a look at What's New in our web.

Summary

Optical Communication Systems Laboratory (OCSL) within the Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona is mostly concerned with Advanced Coding and Modulation for Optical Channels (fiber-optics, FSO, underwater, deep-space, etc. channels). On the other hand, Quantum Communication (QuCom) Laboratory is concerned with QKD, quantum error correction, and photonic quantum information processing. OCSL and QuCom Lab are directed by Ivan B. Djordjevic who has been involved with research projects in the general areas of optical networks, error control coding, coded-modulation, turbo equalization, OFDM applications, quantum key distribution (QKD), quantum information processing, quantum error correction, and wireless communications.
