GRADING: The following weights will be used to determine your point total:
Midterm Exam 1 (50 min.) 15%
Midterm Exam 2 (50 min.) 15%
Midterm Exam 3 (50 min.) 15%
Midterm Exam 4 (50 min.) 15%
Final Exam (2 hours) 25%
Homework (Weekly) 10%
Laboratory (prelab reports, lab attendance, lab reports) 20%
All Prelabs and Labs must be completed and fully written up to receive any lab credit.
The lowest midterm exam score will be dropped.
An average point total of 85 or above is guaranteed an A, 75 or above at least a B, 65 or above at least a C, 55 or above at least a D.
LATE POLICY:
Homework: Late homework will be penalized 25% per day. This penalty is assessed automatically by Mastering Engineering. Any problems completed on time are not penalized.
Prelab/Lab reports: Late reports received within 24 hours of the due date will be graded as normal, but the score will be divided by 2 and rounded down to the next integer. Reports received more than 24 hours after the due date will be graded as normal, but the score will be divided by 10 and rounded down to the next integer.
Your final score must be non-zero for each prelab and lab report. Receiving a zero score on even one prelab or lab report will result in a 0 for the entire lab component of the course (worth 20% of your final grade in ECE 220).
