Szilagyi Laboratory of Nonlinear Dynamic System Simulation

Dr. Szilagyi's major research fields include electron and ion optics, electromagnetics, computer-aided design, artificial intelligence, neural networks and computer simulation. His current research interest is nonlinear dynamic system simulation with emphasis on simulation of large organizations and social phenomena. Recently, he developed a software tool for investigating collective behavior of large numbers of decision makers in a stochastic environment.

The illustration shows the graphic output of a simulated social experiment. The blocks represent agents in the simulation. The color display shows the current and previous actions for each agent. The details of the model, the corresponding simulation tool, and the experiment are fully described in Simulation, 74:1, 4-10, 2000.
